Registration Info
On-line registration is required at www.shawdance.com. A hard copy of all paperwork is required of all students each year- even if online registration is completed. Some classes require an audition or prerequisite, and all classes require advanced registration. An annual registration fee of $45.00 per dancer will be charged for all students in the fall- billing, insurance, monthly communications, class supplies, etc. No registration fee for summer classes.
PAYMENT POLICIES:
ALL students must sign up for recurring auto-pay for all tuition, costumes, and fees. Accounts will be drafted on the 5th of each month. Statements are emailed by the 3rd of each month for perusal before accounts are drafted.
TUITION:
Tuition will be charged monthly, and is due on the 1st of each month. ALL families MUST enroll in recurrent auto pay, which will be posted to accounts on the fifth of each month. A $35 late fee will be charged monthly for unpaid accounts after the 15th of each month. No class that is missed can be credited to the next month or subtracted from the monthly payment. A make-up lesson is granted if absence is called in ahead of time- similar class on different day.

45-minute class: $48.00 per month
60-minute class: $53.00 per month
Second or more classes for current students: $30.00
Immediate Family Discount: $5.00 off regular tuition for second and additional students.
TEAM TUITION RATES: (Required classes for ALL Company dancers)
Artistic Company- $125.00 per month
Artistic Company Elites: $50.00 or $100.00 per month
Expressive Company- Divine and Epic - $100.00 per month
Inspired Company: Minis and Petites- $95.00 per month
Inspired Company: Poppies and Sugars- $75.00 per month
Groove Team: $53.00 per month
Tru Cru: $53.00 per month
Second or more competitive classes for currently enrolled students in Artistic Company- $35.00 per month
CLASS PROGRESSION:
Recreation classes at Shaw Dance Studio include Marvy or Mighty Mix (combination), Composite Jazz, Hip Hop I or II. The next progression would be to specialize in jazz through our Groove Team, Inspired Company, Expressive Company, and Artistic Company. Many students study more than one dance discipline!
DRESS CODE:
Proper dance attire per class is required as follows. Hair shall be pulled back in a ponytail and out of the face.
Marvy and Mighty Mix: Must wear new yearly studio leotard, ($30), white tights with white ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Skirts and tutus will not be allowed.
Magnificent Move: Must wear new yearly studio leotard, ($30), white tights with white ballet shoes. Skirts and tutus will not be allowed.
Jazz Classes: Must wear all black, tight, fitted dance attire with no designs or logos, and black booty shorts, or black leggings, with lyrical turners.
Tumbling/Acro: Must wear studio leotard ($30) or studio blue tank ($20), black booty shorts, or black leggings, and must have bare feet.
Ballet Classes: Teams wear required team practice wear with pink ballet shoes.
Hip Hop Classes: May wear any moveable dance or work out attire. Tennis shoes are required.
Tap Class: May wear any moveable dance attire and black tap shoes.
Team Classes: Must wear all black, tight, fitted dance attire with no designs or logos. Proper shoes per class also required.
REFUNDS:
Refunds for missed classes will not be given. No class that is missed can be credited to the next session or subtracted from the monthly payment. A make-up lesson is granted if absence is called in ahead of time- similar class on different day.
If a student must miss class due to illness or potential quarantine, make up lessons will be granted. Refunds for tuition will not be granted.
Should the studio be forced to close, all classes will move to online learning.
EARLY WITHDRAWAL: During traditional school year enrollment, students who withdraw from classes after September 30 will be charged a $75.00 early withdrawal fee. Others are turned away when a student registers for a class, and Shaw Dance believes in teaching not only dance, but the life skills of commitment, dedication, and integrity.
